Happy Labor Day U.S.A.
It’s a cool and rainy day in good old Seattle.
I’m having a quiet weekend, and it feels really good (especially after the last month, which I have shared with all of you).
A sore throat has been giving me some problems, so I plan to stay home today and drink lots of decaf black tea with fresh lemon.
I blogged a few weeks ago that the dryer in my brand new apartment is not working. Sears came on Thursday morning and found out that my dryer needs a new thermostat, and a few other parts, which won’t be available until the 16th. So my landlord has given me the key to the empty apartment next door, and I’m using that dryer until mine gets fixed. This is totally cool.
I love my new apartment!
The family stuff is resolving itself, slowly, and I’ve been doing lots of praying.
My problems with Google Reader are getting better, thank goodness, so I will be visiting and commenting on blogs today and tomorrow.
I will be gone next weekend, helping out with my grandchildren while my daughter-in-law is out of town for her work.
As I sit here typing this post, I can hear the rain hit the drain pipe on my balcony.
What a comforting sound.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
