Doc, say it ain’t so!!

All of my test results came back very well.

Except for the results of my EKG, which suggests a possible MILD heart attack in the past 4-5 years.

I need to have an Echocardiogram soon.

Starting tomorrow, I’m taking medication for high blood pressure.

And I just plunked down $40 for a home blood pressure machine–my insurance paid half.

Well folks, given the stress in my life for the last 4-5 years, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a mild heart attack, but there seems to be no reason to worry myself about it right now.

I’m going to follow my diet and exercise program, take my medication, and have the next test.

I will keep you informed–no need to worry, I just wanted to share my news with you.

  1. Sounds to me you are being very proactive in taking care of your health and stress does play havoc with your body. I know that too. Take Care and look after you! And fingers crossed the test will all come back ok – the positive thing is you have done something about it and everything can be reversed. A good role model you are for the rest of us.

  2. Thanks so much, Lilly. I appreciate your comments! Hope all is well with you.

  3. Ohhh now that is just a bit scary to hear that! But as you say you are doing everything right now to take care of yourself.Hope the echo will be fine 🙂

  4. Drugs are good, drugs are our friends. Take how “they” tell you to reduce the stress in your life and oh BTW, did you know you had a heart attack a while back…ACK! Snort, Look on the bright side always…it helps.

  5. It’s actually a good thing to be told you may have had a heart attack because now you can do something about it. And it sounds like you are. That also is a good thing.

  6. The news set me back a bit, Lady Banana, but that;s life, you know? All I can do now is take care of myself and make sure it doesn’t happen again 🙂

  7. Fran, I’m just glad I know, and I’m smiling (good thing). Thanks.

  8. That’s how I feel, grandpa! Thanks!
