Have a happy Thanksgiving!
If you celebrate Thanksgiving.
Paying attention to my health is working, because I’m doing much better, and hope to be blogging here again soon.

Taking life slower seems to be working for me, because I
have a lot more energy, and a blood pressure medication has helped me a lot.
I’ve been in bed every night at eight or nine, but I jump out of bed with a new vigor every morning.
My reading pace has slowed considerably, but I hope this changes soon. I’m finishing up a good Laurie R. King book right now. I had a copy from the library, but I couldn’t finish it by the time it was due back.
So I bought the paperback book.
Look for my review when I’m done.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween.
I’m taking life a bit easier these days, and will only be blogging at Gran Speaks for now.
I’m okay, just getting used to a new medication, and taking care of myself.
Cheers.
I have a nice doctor.
Besides giving me medication for high blood pressure, he wants me to lose 22 pounds.
Okay.
Here I go:
And I need to watch my “hunny” intake!
I’m also cutting back to one cup of coffee a day.
And limiting my salt, of course. That’s not too tough, but sometimes I crave potato chips. I’ll have to watch that.
I have a really bad sweet tooth, and I need to watch myself. Along with the other members of my team, I’ve been eating lots of candy at work, and I will have to stay away from C’s candy dish.
And I do need to increase my exercise.
Wish me well!
And by the way, have a great Sunday.
Now, back to my quest to lose that 22.
I got back the results of my medical tests today.
Check out my blog Gran Speaks for the details, if you are interested.
I’m fighting to stay positive in a world filled with bad news.
No more NPR news during my commute to and from work–I’m listening to my favorite music.
I’m boycotting CNN.
And I’m going to be busy this weekend, running lots of errands and perhaps having a spot o’ fun before returning to work on Monday.
Take care, my friends, and be safe and well.
Take time to sing, dance, and be merry.
TTFN.
I’m not setting the world on fire today.
Last night, I got through a fairly serious asthma attack.
So I’m laying low today, still lounging in my p.j.’s (but I showered and put clean p.j.’s on).
I’m sure that I have the cool wet weather to thank for my asthma “issues.”
I’m sitting in my green chair, wearing p.j.’s and socks, nice and warm under a blanket.
It is cold tonight.
I’m including a picture of my grandson Luka, for Caroldee.
I’m off to bed with my book, “The Lace Reader,” which is pretty good so far.
My doctor wanted me to have some routine lab work done today, including an EKG, as my blood pressure is still high and I will probably be on medication soon.
So I took 1.5 hours of my precious PTO to head to the lab, then I stopped at the grocery store on my way home.
I’ve been resisting blood pressure medicine for years, and it’s finally time to bite the bullet and take medication, I guess. I’ve been talking to colleagues about this, and I now know people in their twenties (not overweight, seemingly healthy) who are taking blood pressure meds.
So anyway, it’s off to bed I am, and dang glad tomorrow is Thursday.
TTFN.
A colleague gave me this chair last month, it’s a real sweet chair that reclines and rocks.
I’m also very happy that I can finally upload photos from my cell phone camera to my email accounts.
Happy Monday to all!
