Weekend and reading marathon update

21 09 2008

I got my laundry done yesterday, then took a nap.

Oh yes, I spent a lot of time online yesterday, reading and commenting on blogs.

As for my reading marathon, I’m currently on page 159 of Palace Council. It’s good; this Stephen L. Carter novel is a thriller, and gives some historical background about the 1950s in America.

I watched a movie last night, “Near Dark,” which is  a 1987 vampire flick. Scary, and kind of gory, but very well done.

I was in bed by 10:00 p.m. last night, and slept in until nine this morning.

So it’s Sunday, and I’m not sure what I’m going to do. I may stay home and read all day, or go out for lunch. Just not sure yet.

That’s the beuaty of a day to yourself, though, it’s yours to do with as you wish.

Sometimes it feels good to slow down…

…and just take some time to be quiet, read, listen to music, and relax.

After doing my laundry, cleaning, and cooking a small roast beef yesterday, I just decided to chill out.

It was really neat, to sit and read after dinner, and enjoy the coolness after the thunderstorm.

I slept in this morning, drank my coffee in the mug that my granddaughter made me for Christmas (and I just took possession of when they moved back to Seattle), and consumed peanut butter toast and an orange for breakfast.

TMI, right?

I hope you all have a good Sunday.
