Maybe I will stop crying soon, but I hope not.
Beauty makes me cry sometimes, and this is one beaut of a story about love and loss, forgiveness, and the range of emotions that living forces us to express.
This book started out very slowly for me, as I was not sure what the heck it was about--reading the future through the patterns in lace? I'm glad that I did not give up on this book, because after about 75 pages, the story of Towner Whitney and her family caught me, and kept me reading until the final page.
Clutching the open book to my chest, I cried tears of joy, and then grabbed a Kleenex to blow my nose.
This is one corking good story.
It's not about lace, not really. It's about life, and the horrible decisions we human beings make, and how we find our way back.
Or not.
